September 2022

A change of circumstance brought about a chance encounter with one of the founder members of Sea Safety Group which has resulted in a major push to establish more stations along the vast coastline of Wales, ensuring the major danger spots get priority.

August 2022

The increase of staycations has led to a lot more incidents, a clear lack of understanding of tides and currents has given rise to more incidents of cut offs and people being carried out to sea on a variety of unsuitable watercraft, water safety information is to be made more widely available.

September 2022

The plans are now underway to recruit volunteers and establish our first two stations in Wales, but this is only a start as more areas are identified and groups are formed to establish fully operational watchstations.
